If you have ever had an IM conversation with me, you know that during the course of that conversation there is a 90% chance I will, out of nowhere, burst out with "YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD MAKE A GREAT FANVID?" and then rattle off some idea or five. Which would be great, if I was capable of making videos. Well, technically, I do have Windows Movie Maker, but even trying to cut together a few clips of my dog on that makes my soul weep. HOW DO PEOPLE DEAL WITH THAT PROGRAM? IT TAKES LIKE FIVE BILLION YEARS AND YOU GET SO MANY RANDOM CLIPS AND AKLSFJALKSJFLKASJ.

Anyway, after complaining to thisissirius for, like, a month, I decided you know what, I have a text document filled with ideas, it's the holidays, it's a week and a half to my birthday, surely something, somewhere on this list will inspire someone to make something. The ideas are free! All I ask is that, if any of these are to be made, please link me so I may worship the maker appropriately. This is thisissirius's favorite idea and I'm pretty sure she'd give her firstborn to whoever made it happen. But basically, Gwen's life is hard, yo, and she has all these regrets, and if someone made a vid for her to this I would BAWL. LIKE A BABY. EVEN THOUGH 50% OF THE TIME I HATE WHAT THE WRITERS DO WITH HER. I mean think of all the amazing clips that could be put to this, guys, between losing her father and Elyan and Morgana and choosing between Arthur and Lancelot! SO MUCH EPIC HEARTBREAK. SO GOOD.

We were discussing Arthur's attitudes on magic and how Merlin being magic would open up a whole new school of thought for him, and all of a sudden my brain went "!!!!" and realized THIS HAS TO HAPPEN. Okay, I hate this song,but it recently came on the radio and it was either this or commercials, so I listened to it, and I actually listened to the lyrics and was like "WELL, SLAP MY ASS AND CALL ME SALLY". This is a stupidly adorable song about all the constant little spats you get in with a significant other and I was listening to it recently and going "wouldn't that be an adorable Sherlock/John video?" It would be John all "SHERLOCK WHY IS THERE A SEVERED BODY PART HERE? WHY DON'T YOU HAVE FEELINGS? WHY ARE YOU A JERK?" and then Sherlock is all "LET'S GO SOLVE CRIME! ....also I love you" and then John is all "FINE! ...I sort of love you too." AND THEN THEY SOLVE CRIME. It'd be pretty cute, is all I'm saying.

Okay, I only like two Marina and the Diamonds songs, and both of them make really great Sherlock vids. This one because you know that Sherlock isn't really a robot. John makes him have soft squishy feelings and be vulnerable.

What I really, really love about Sherlock Holmes and John Watson in any incarnation is that they're both profoundly fucked-up people. Like, profoundly. Both of them are addicts (well, in the most modern incarnation, John never quite develops his gambling streak, but the war's clearly made him far more of an adrenaline junkie than the original Watson) and both of them, instead of curing their addictions, transfer those obsessions to crime and each other. Bam. Video'd!

Stray Italian Greyhound - Vienna Teng (Sherlock/John)
So there is a brain-numbingly amazing Danny/Steve video to this, which I watched so many times that ZShare was like YOU CAN'T WATCH THIS ANYMORE so then I was just listening to the song and realized that hey, THIS WOULD ALSO BE AN AMAZING SHERLOCK/JOHN VID. Because John gives Sherlock feeeeeeelings! And he can't control his feeeeelings! And he's so scary! But so in love! FEEEEELINGS!

ANYWAY. I'll get to the giant Merlin spam of both parts of the finale soon, but it's taking a long time because I keep forgetting I'm actually trying to take screencaps and think up commentary and next thing I know it's twenty minutes later and I've re-watched it and not done a damn thing because I'm to distracted by the pretty. also, okay, what you said about Bradley being a smitten kitten (ADORBS). I have this book that used to be my mother's that married Western and Chinese astrology. So it has 144 signs, right? I'm Leo/Horse, for example. I don't set much stock by it but sometimes it's amusing as hell. Last night I looked up Bradley (Libra/Pig) and legit the very first sentence are "Loving is what the Libra/Pig does best. This person is devoted, exclusive, jealous and loyal to a fault. nothing really counts much in the Libran Pig's life except the relationship he or she has with a mate. Mine's usually fairly good, I think. My name even lines up with it, lol - my first name means 'chief' and my middle name means 'noble'. I'm a Leo with Leo ascendant with that name, and I was obsessed with the Lion King as a kid. This amuses me. :P

If I had ascendant water signs mine would make sense, but no, its fire signs fire signs pure fire signs. It makes a little sense in that I am stubborn and vocal, and I had a temper when I was little. (Which is funny, because now I'm very hard to get anything more than bemused and irritated.) But where it REALLY makes no sense is my twin brother, who is the most relaxed, passive, non-firey person you ever did meet. ASTROLOGY IS WHACKY/NON-SCIENTIFIC.

Though I do think Bradley's, though perhaps overstated, is amusingly applicable. He's quite a devoted people-person. I mean, he lived in the States, what did he say, for a year or two as a kid? And he's still so close to them and refers to them as some of his best friends? To stay that close (especially since that time was partially pre-internet) speaks to all sorts of people skills I can't even begin to comprehend.

...Though he does still seem utterly clueless the second the person in question has girl parts. HE CAN'T WIN 'EM ALL.

He does seem very good with people, and he seems to really enjoy it. Colin strikes me as someone who would sometimes need some alone time to chill out but Bradley, not so much. Like even if he wasn't interacting with them I think he'd like people ~around~. Yeah, idk how long exactly but a year or two sounds about right. And he still visits! You go boy.

I moved from New Zealand when I was 11, and my best friend from when I was 7 is still my best friend now (we're 20). We email back and forth, ring up occasionally, and fly over to see each other when we can. It's a lot easier to maintain with the internet though!

Yeah, I'm a severe introvert. I like people and am very happy and talkative around them, but I need a lot of time alone with no one bothering me. Like, for every hour I spend with people, I need two alone to recover. Online people I'm fine with because I can sign off whenever I want or space out and not talk for a half hour and no one takes it personally, but real life people are like augh, so tiring.
