The happiest of happy Valentine's Days to everyone! I'm generally of the belief, regardless of relationships status, that Valentine's Day is a little bit of a silly holiday. I like the idea, don't get me wrong - it's nice that there's a day dedicated to telling all the people that you love that you love them, but I really believe in doing that every day. If someone needs Valentine's Day to know that I love them, I feel like either they have some insecurity issues they need to work on, or I'm not doing my job properly.

What I use Valentine's Day for is as an excuse to doodle hearts everywhere, snuggle my pets extra-tight (like I needed an excuse for that) and eat more dessert than is strictly necessary. Sometimes, I listen to happy-in-love music. Which I suggest that you do too. I especially recommend my favorite music video of all time that never, ever, ever fails to make me all wibbly and sniffly in the best of ways:

I'm sorry I haven't been around that much - I've either been busy having responsibilities (ick) or writing for work or helping take care of my sister who had the nastiest flu of all time and literally was rendered incapable of moving. What time I have had to be all leisurely and fandom-ish has been consumed with a genderswap casting of Community, which should either be up later today or early tomorrow, depending on how much cuddling with gerbils I feel is necessary. (Answer: a lot.) But wait for it, you guys, it's going to be streets ahead. HYUCK HYUCK HYUCK COMMUNITY IN-JOKE.
